Re|muse is hosting a call for visual artists new to the Charlotte Metropolitan area to display for a one-night only showcase and social gathering. We have room for 5 artists to display 5 pieces at the event on Friday, February 2, 2024.

Our venue space includes wall space for hanging or leaning, some floor space for easels, and flat surfaces.

Requirements:

• You - the artist - must be a new Charlotte-area resident, having moved to the Charlotte area within the year 2023.

• Visual art includes: painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography (even video, if you can provide your own projector).

• ONE of your event pieces must be heart themed. You need not have this piece already on hand during the submission period, but plan to create it in time for the event.

• Sizes of your work may vary (up to 48in x 48in) and we encourage a variety, but bear in mind the venue is on the second floor of a building with no elevator.

• Your submissions must be available for sale and able to be physically displayed.

• You must be able to deliver up to 5 physical pieces to the event location and be present during the event itself.

• Artists are responsible for their own transactions the day of the event.

Application deadline: December 17, 2023 @ 9p EST

Acceptance notification: December 30, 2023 by 9p

Artwork drop-off: Thursday, February 1, 2024, 4p-7p

Artwork pick-up: Sunday, February 4, 2024, 12p-3p

Artwork sold at the event must be taken home by the buyer at the end of the night or picked up the following day during business hours.
